Obsessed With Movement, Powered By Pilates

If you know me, you know I’m certifiably obsessed with Pilates. So obsessed, I quit my high-powered VP Sales job in finance to open Powerhouse Pilates. It all started back in 2004, when I took a year off my day job to travel Australia with my new husband. I experienced my first Pilates class at the renowned Elixr studio and, it’s safe to say I drank the Elixr. I became such a regular at the studio, I was invited to the staff Christmas party.

By 2005, I became a Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor, and by 2010, I opened my own studio in North Vancouver, BC—a mecca for fitness where I still live, work and play. Movement has always been in my makeup (my beige flag: I read anatomy books for fun), but Pilates is the most intelligent form of movement I’ve ever experienced. It’s capable of strengthening your body, sculpting your physique, healing your injuries, and alleviating your pain.

Paired with my certification in NeuroKinetic Therapy®—a form of movement therapy that identifies and corrects dysfunctional movement patterns in the body—Pilates is my answer for every goal. Want your athletics to be stronger? We can do that. Want your core to be more enviable? I’m here for it. Want your chronic pain to be a bad memory? Say less.
